NDS Programming — The Revival
Today I checked the blogbus statistics and found that among the keywords people use to find this blog via search engines, “nds” ranks second (first is my name, of course). Quite surprising. I guess it’s because three years ago I wrote some articles called “NDS Programming,” and since I got busy with work, I never kept up that series. Yet they still get so much attention — unexpected.
Now I’m busier than before: work, and taking care of little He Shiqian. So the chances of continuing that series are even slimmer. Of course, over time, more people have written about NDS development. And it seems there are already unofficial NDS development groups in China. Nintendo’s official SDK has also leaked, so this series probably has no value anymore.
This article introduces some work I did in early 2008 — porting a small embedded OS, uC/OS-II, to the NDS. Since a small OS can run on it, naturally many things can run on the NDS. I set up a link on my Google page providing all source code, binaries, and support tools for download. Please refer to the following page (English):
